Chikkaballapura\u00a0is the district\u00a0in the state of\u00a0Karnataka<\/a>, India. It was carved out of the existing Kolar district in 2007.<\/p>

Chikkaballapura district \u00a0is a major site for different agriculture and allied activities such as Dairying, Sericulture and Horticulture.<\/p>

KOMUL was separated from Bangalore Union in 1987 KOMUL started \u00a0procuring 1.65 lakh litres of milk in the districts of\u00a0 Kolar & Chikkaballapura.<\/p>

Mega Dairy was established in 2018 with a processing capacity of 3.0 to 5.0 LLPD of milk .<\/p>

Chikkaballapura District Co-operative Milk Union Ltd.(CHIMUL) is bifurcated from Kolar Milk Union on 25.09.2024. \u00a0CHIMUL has spread across 08 Talukas which has\u00a0 a total of 979 functional\u00a0 Primary Milk Cooperative Societies (MPCS) including 123 women societies.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Union is procuring on an average 4.55 Lakh Kg of milk per day and milk is collecting thorough the BMCs only.<\/p>

Union has milk sales of about 2.5 LLPD in Chikkaballapura & part of Bangalore, curd sales of about 50,000 Kgs, 20,000 litres of milk is being issued for production of Paneer \u00a0every day, \u00a01.50 LLPD of milk is being issued for UHT and flexi milk production.<\/p>

Every week union is paying Rs.12 crores to Milk producers.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

  • For the first time in Karnataka State, Union started UHT milk<\/li>
  • Union started \u201cAutomated Milk Collection Unit\u201d(AMCU) for the first time in the state in 2001 and the pride of being the only union currently having the 221 number of BMC centres.<\/li>
  • Implementation of \u201cTheileria Vaccination\u201d program for the first time in the country.<\/li>
  • Inauguration of Community Machine Milking Parlours (centres) first of its kind in India.<\/li>
  • 2003-04 started \u201cClean Milk Production\u201d for the first time in Karnataka.<\/li>
  • 2003-04 started mass vaccination programs for Foot and Mouth Disease in coordination with Animal Husbandry Department, Govt of Karnataka.<\/li><\/ul>
